Alien Novels

Narrative writing is our a focus in writing and we have worked really hard to create our own little books.  We used a shared story about aliens as motivation and then we wrote our own story.  We have to follow the pattern of a narrative piece of writing.  That means we had to write a really good beginning that set the scene and introduced the characters.  Then we had to make sure there was a problem in our story that also had to be solved (complication and resolution).  Because we published our writing as a book we also illustrated it.  It was a lot of hard work but we are really proud of ourselves.  P.S. We hand wrote the books as well so that took a lot of effort to make sure our writing was consistent and our spelling was correct.
