Whanau Leaders

All Year Six students were invited to apply to be a whanau leaders.  Lots of us applied.  We had to complete an application form and give a speech to our whanau classes.  Then the teachers had to decide who would be the leaders and deputy leaders.  It was a really hard job because our speeches were really good.  The teachers asked to make their job difficult, so we did!.  The top photo is Rimu whanau waiting for the announcement.  The second photo is of all the applicants.  The people who didn't become the leaders are part of our Rimu Whanau committee and they will be supporting the teachers and leaders throughout the year.
