Tangaroa's Gift

Mrs Smith read us Tangaroa's Gift when she was teaching in our room. We used the story and the artwork to inspire us to create our own art. We had to create a blackline drawing that reflected Tangaroa, the sea. We used patterns to give the feeling of movement. We had to choose colours of the paua shell and used dye and cotton buds to apply those colours to our work.
