Welcome to Room 19 - 2012

Well we have had a fantastic start to the year. It is going to be a very busy term with our trip to Waitangi along with loads of activities planned to support our learning concept of My Story - My Culture.

Our learning concept this term is My Story - My Culture. Our enduring understandings are:

Culture is kept alive in the traditions, beliefs and stories

of a group a people.

Jesus has stories to tell which teach us how to live.

We will be exploring these ideas by finding out about our story and culture as New Zealanders through the Treaty of Waitangi as well as sharing our individual stories and cultures represented in our classroom and school. It would be really great if you can share stories that are special to your family and culture with the children.
