Mrs Ross read us the story of Rangi and Papa which is a Maori legend about the beginning of the world.  We compared that story with the Christian story of creation written about in the book of Genesis.  We then discussed ways of handing down stories, information and knowledge over time, so that cultures, traditions, and customs are kept alive.   Some of our ideas were: storytelling, books, dance, songs, costumes, music, illustrations.
