Limericks

Limericks

In Room 20 we have been writing Limericks.  Limerick are when you write a 5 line pattern poem.  The first, second and fifth lines rhyme, and the third and forth lines rhyme too.

Here are some Limericks.

There once was a young man named River,
He was cold and started to shiver,
His mum kept him warm
 until the break of dawn,
Then feed him on kidney and liver.

By River

There once was a patch of grass,
Who liked to play with a vase,
He sat in the shade,
To make him all grey,
And now he's a musician in France.

By Axelle

There once was a girl named Brooke,
That loved to read a cooking book,
She cooked all day long,
While she sang a song,
Then got bored and read a book.
