We have been watching for quite a long time as our new classrooms were being constructed. Over the building period there have been diggers and trucks along with lots of builders and other tradesmen. The building has four new classrooms, each with breakout learning spaces. There is also a huge room which has just been named St Joseph. It will be used to have larger gatherings such as whanau assemblies. On a miserable overcast Monday during week 5 the whole school assembled outside the new rooms so the building could be blessed. Lots of visitors came to share this time with us. After the blessing Mrs Webber and Mrs Henry took their classes through the new rooms - that's because they are the first classes to use them.
The builders used architectural plans to make sure they built everything properly. These plans are a type of pattern.
