Out of This World - What do we know?

To find out what we know about space, the universe and our solar system, we did a bus stop activity.   The questions we were asked were:-
1.   What is the universe?
2.   What is ... a star? ... the sun?...a planet? ... a moon?
3.   What is the difference between a star and a planet?
4.   List 3 facts you know about the sun.
5.   Why is the sun so bright compared to other things in the sky?
6.   How big is the sun compared to the earth?
7.  What causes daytime and night-time?
8.   List 3 facts you know about the moon?
9.   What are the main features of earth?
10.  Draw a diagram that shows where the sun, earth, the moon and the stars in relationship to each
      other.
