We visited the Planetarium and observatory last Friday night. We were really lucky, as the weather had been terrible all day, but it cleared up while we were there. Through the telescopes we saw the rings of Saturn and the surface of the moon. That was pretty amazing. In the Planetarium, we learned where several constellations were in the sky. We learned how to find the Southern Cross and use it and a star called "Mr Smelly' to find south.
The visits were fun. It is amazing what is out there in space.
