Descriptive Writing

During Term 2 we worked to hard to develop our descriptive writing. We focused mainly on adjectives and adverbs to develop a wider range of words we could use to make our writing more exciting for you to read . As we were studying change, we decided to use what we learned to create a slideshow. First we had to chose an image to describe. The image had to reflect a change of some kind and we soon found out that some images were harder to work with than others. Each of us had to create three slides using the same image. On the first slide we had to think of adjectives, adverbs or phrases that described our image. For the second slide we had to use personification to describe our image. Lastly, we had to describe what change was happening using rich language, imagery or metaphor.
Once all the writing was finished we had to make the slide show. We used a programme called Keynote and had to use transitions and effects that also reflected what we had written.
We hope you enjoy the first of our slideshows made by the Boomers. There are four more to come and they should be posted this week.
