Amelia's ancestor

This is a painting of my ancestor Heta Te Haara.  He is my great, great, great, great, great, great grandad and he signed the Treaty of Waitangi.   I have only just found out about this since we have been studying the Treaty of Waitangi at school.  I was telling mum one day about what we were doing at school and then she told me about Heta Te Haara.  His painting hangs in our lounge at home.  Go to this link to find out more about him. http://www.lindaueronline.co.nz/maori-portraits/heta-te-haara
