Mythbusters

We watched this really cool video by the Mythbusters. We did this because we need to learn to talk, think and 'do' science. In the video the Mythbusters decided to make a concrete glider to see if it would fly. Guess what, they made two gliders and one actually did fly, not very far, but it did fly.

We listened and watched what they did and came up with the following ideas.

Thinking and Talking Like a Scientist - they used scientific language, discussed ideas with each other, compared, brainstormed, adjusted ideas, used prior knowledge, researched, predicted, and used historical evidence and information

"Doing" Science - they tested, prepared, experimented using models and prototypes, adjusted prototypes, collected data, created test conditions, used technology to record and gather information (video).
