Kassius has been a regular visitor to Mrs Hepi's classes over the years. Kassius is one of the very few kids in the world who has PKS syndrome. Even though Kassius is different he can still have lot of fun. You should not look at them (PKS children) in a mean way. Kassius' mum would rather people to come up and ask questions about him than pulling their children away. Kassius is a very friendly and happy person and he enjoys coming to see us.
Kassius doesn't sleep at night, so when he came to visit he was asleep. It was time for him to be fed, which is done through a feeding tube. Julie, his mum, feed him while we did some maths! We had to work out how much liquid food he had each day. He is fed about 100ml of his food plus 30mls of water every hour. Someone has to be with him all day and all night so he has two other carers to help his mum and dad look after him.

Kassius is not that keen to be in his wheel chair as it is hard on his legs. |
