Bikes In Schools

Last year a new bike track was installed on the back field.  This year, the Bikes in School programme is being put in place.  The first thing to happen, was getting our heads measured for our helmets.  This was done to make sure we got the right size helmet.  Once the helmets arrived, we then spent some time making sure they fitted properly.  Did you know, that you should adjust the straps to make sure they fit over your ears properly as well as not being too tight or loose under your chin?  This process took a little time to get the whole class fitted correctly but it was well worth the effort.  We now know, that our helmets will stay on and do the job if we did fall off and land on our head!  Look around when you are out on the roads and see how many people are not wearing their helmets correctly or even at all.  This might be because they don't know how to adjust them to make them safe and comfortable to wear.  What do you think?
