Expanding Soap

One of our favourite experiments was putting soap into the microwave to find out how it changed.  Mabel, Mose and Kaiah all conducted this experiment.  They tested out different soaps, quantities and times.  Imagine an ordinary block of soap.  What do you think would happen after putting it in the microwave?  Well, we were quite surprised how it changed.  It took a little while for us to figure out what sort of change took place, but finally we decided that a change of state had occurred.  Although the microwaved soap was not as efficient as the regular soap, it still did lather up eventually.
