We came to school and our one of our Gloop variation experiments was starting to smell. Really bad!!! Keira had replaced water with milk and it had gone off. The milk looked a bit like scrambled eggs and it smelled really horrible. We decided the the Gloop was now full of bacteria. Below are some photos of our variation experiments and our our observations.
This change lead to a discussion about food safety and then onto the Best Before Date on food in the supermarket. We have been using our senses when observing the changes in our experiments but we don't seem to do that with food that has been marked with this this date in the supermarket.
