Whanau Leaders

Every year, Year Six students have the opportunity to put themselves forward to become Whanau Leaders and Deputy Leaders.  As we have two Year 5/6 classes in Kowhai whanau, we have leaders for each class - Room 19 and Room 20.

All the applicants had to apply for the job by filling out a job application and then they had to present a speech to whole whanau.  We had over 20 applicants for the 8 positions, so that was a lot of speeches!  The speeches were excellent.  Candidates talked about the values we uphold in our school as well as talking about service and caring for each other.
